A new handset that will be joining the Xperia line up this year has been introduced by Sony. The Xperia M along with its dual SIM variant is now official through the website of Sonymobile. This smartphone is suggested to be almost similar to another phone from Xperia series, Sony Xperia L. This new phone is aimed at the lower end of Android spectrum and the specifications would not be benchmarking enough.
These handsets of the manufacturer sport an Omni Balance design taken from the previously released Xperia phones of 2013 such as Sony Xperia Z. Also, they feature a notification light which is same as is provided in the Xperia ZR and Xperia ZL phones. Previously we reported that the Xperia Tablet Z becomes first 4G tablets on Vodafone.
Further, it can be noticed from the post on the official website of Sony revealing this handset that the single SIM version of this Xperia M smartphone will be provided by the company in four main colors including black, white, purple and lime. Also, the mobile vendor has posted “coming soon” title with the specifications of this handset which confirms that it will be brought to the markets sometime later this year.
Sony is describing this phone as the new phone from the manufacturer with one touch functions. They have used wordings Experience the touch of magic under the title of this phone, Xperia M. It features a 4 inch TFT display that can show 16 million colors and can give 854 X 480 pixels resolution.
This device will run on an android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and is powered with a dual core Qualcomm chipset clocked at 1 GHz speeds. There is a 5 mega pixel camera provided with a Exmor RS sensor and is capable of making 4x digital zoom with auto focus. The battery is quite powerful giving 10 hours and 18 minute talk time with 552 hours stand by.
All these features are low end revealing that this handset will be an entry level device. It will be a great phone for business enabling to synchronize e-mail from anywhere at anytime.
